coffee mornings? garden teas??

Hi All

As my online name suggests, I'm expecting a baby soon-ish and am starting to think about mum-life at the Babrican (actually I've been thinking about it for ages but now it's getting close!)

I know there is a fantastic 'what's on' section on this website, but was wondering if/ how you all meet each other?? Is it simply through eventually getting out to sing-along or play-time or similar in the neighbourhood, or do you have regular coffee mornings/ garden teas/ other things going on...?

I'm sure it will take me an eternity to become coordinated enough to get out the front door with babe in arms to start participating, but meantime it would be great to know more about these things.

Not long now 6 September.

I think you meet people quite easily, when I had my daughter I met other mums at the Neaman Practice Friday mornings, at the Golden Lane Childrens centre and at the Nanuk swimming lessons at the Thistle hotel, and definitely through the NCT. Hope this helps, I doubt you'll be lonely.
